Hi! My name is Shawn Peaslee, a 39-year-old American living in Germany with my wife and son. I am originally from Massachusetts and now live in the beautiful city of Bad Kreuznach.

Now in my thirteenth year as an educator, I teach Art, English, Math, and Social Studies at a secondary school (grades 5-10) in the city of Mainz. I have taught at a primary school as well as at a university. I instructed Geography, History, Math, Politics, and Social Studies bilingually (English/German) for 12 years.

I have a B.A. in German Studies and European History from Wheaton College and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

I served nine years in the U.S. Army, working in Counterintelligence, both in the States and abroad.

I am a volunteer coach for youth athletics and an active member of a local running club, the Lauffreunde Naheland.

My passions in life are my family, teaching, History, languages, hiking, exploring castle ruins, reading, writing, good food and drink.
